ISO 14879 Prueba de Rodilla: Fatiga de Prótesis Tibiales
La fractura por fatiga de prótesis tibiales de rodilla ha sido uno de los fallos más comunes para el reemplazo total de rodilla (PTR). Es causada por la pérdida de soporte óseo subyacente como resultado de reacciones biológicas, tales como osteólisis inducida. Bajo estas condiciones, la prótesis tibial se convierte mecánicamente inestable, y la carga cíclica impartida por caminar normalmente provoca grietas por fatiga, conduciendo finalmente a un fallo catastrófico.
La norma ISO 14879-1 "Determinación de las propiedades de resistencia de prótesis tibiales de rodilla” establece un conjunto común de parámetros de prueba para la determinación y validación de las propiedades de fatiga de los diferentes diseños de prótesis tibial. Nuestros sistemas servo-hidráulicos 8870 y sistemas electrodinámico ElectroPuls ™ ayudarán a los diseñadores, fabricantes e investigadores sobre el ciclo de vida del producto, a partir de reportar las propiedades fundamentales de materiales, tales como la resistencia a la propagación de grietas por fatiga, para probar la prótesis tibial entera y más allá.
Nosotros utilizamos un dispositivo de sujeción para asegurar la mitad de prótesis tibial, simulando un cóndilo totalmente compatible. El cóndilo no soportado es luego sometido a una carga fisiológicamente representativa. Mediante el uso de nuestro Dynacell ™ única célula de carga en la que los errores inerciales (tales como los causados por los útiles y por la hidro-dinámica que se produce en ensayos con baño ambiental) pueden ser eliminados, lo que permite una medición más exacta de la carga que se aplica al espécimen.
